Our Swedish Cope Log Home kits and packages are produced by one of the Nation's most renowned and respected log home manufacturers, having more than 10,000 satisfied customers since established in 1962.
Our Log Home Kits & Packages are produced from one of the largest inventories of high quality house logs in the world. All logs come from standing dead timber, which are then air-dried to ensure a low mosture content, resulting in the lowest chance of settling, unexpected cracking, and twisting.
All logs are TP® Graded. Timber Products Inspection is the largest wood inspection agency in the nation, and has the only ALSC approved grading agency that has representation in all regions of theUnited States.

Cabin Appearance:
This is our most populare style of Swedish Cope Cabin and House Log. The majority of our customers prefer the more rustic characteristics found in the "cabin appearance" over those found in the "standard appearance." These logs are intentionally milled to leave some bark on the surface. The bark is then drawknifed off, giving the log a more rustic appearance. These logs are grade stamped. Sizes available: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14 and 16 inch diameters.
Standard Appearance:
Our Swedish Cope Log with the Standard Appearance is milled to a uniform profile. This style of log is ideal for those who desire a true log cabin or home, without the rustic features of the "cabin appearance" listied above. This style of log utilizes a saddle notch corner system.
These logs are grade stamped. Sizes available: 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 14 inch diameters.

Drawknifed Appearance:
The "Drawkifed Appearance" occurs when the entire visible portion of the log is drawknifed. This is popular choice for those who want the handcrafted look in a milled log. Available in both standard and cabin appearance.
These logs are grade stamped. Sizes available: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14 and 16 inch diameters.

Half Log Siding:
Our Half Log Siding is cut from Swedish Cope Cabin and Home wall logs, that have been split in half lengthwise. Half Log siding looks exactly like a full log home from the outside when utilizing the saddle notched corners. Available in both standard and cabin appearance. These logs are grade stamped. Sizes available: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14 and 16 inch diameters.

About Swedish Cope Cabin & House Logs:
The log walls on a cabin or home built with Swedish Cope logs are simple to erect. In fact they are so simple to erect that many customers choose to stack their own walls. However, if you just don't have the building flair, a reputable contractor in your area can build your cabin or home for you. Many of our Log Cabin Kits take as little as one week to stack the log walls.
Most of our Swedish Cope Cabin & House Log Kits utilize a random length system. This system makes the log kit easy to assemble. Just about any log can be used anywhere in the cabin or home. Random lengths make it possible to make adjustments after the logs arrive. Pre-cut and full-length logs taht are numbered and cut to length are also available.

An engineering improvement provides the key to the weather-tight seal of our Log Cabins & Homes. In order to provide a tight and hidden seal, an all-weather foam gasket is placed between the logs before they are fastened together. Caulking or chinking is then applied to further ensure a weather-tight seal.
Structural strength of a Swedish Cope log cabin or home is unequalled in conventional housing. Not unlike a laminated beam, the process of fastening the logs to the adjoining log below creates one solid unit. In the case of a log cabin or home, it creates one solid wall. The addition of caulking or chinking will also increase the overall strength of the wall.
Once the log walls are erected and properly sealed, all exterior walls are complete. Siding, studs, insulation, sheetrock, and paneling are not necessary. Eliminating these expenses saves a considerable amount of time and money.
